Fall Powder Room

Here are few snap shots of our powder room with a few touches of fall.

Carrying on with the “POP” of orange.

The wall color is all hand painted without a stencil!

Crazy I know.  One winter day I woke up and thought it would be fun to spend NOT hours but DAYS hand painting a diamond pattern all over the walls.  In my mind I was sure it would only take the better part of the morning.  Psssh….

I have wanted to repaint this bathroom for some time now.

Maybe I will repaint on the first cold winter day.

This cute little sconce came from Michael’s.

I hope you enjoyed this tiny tour of our powder room.

Have a great day,

  2. Freehanded diamonds?! Insanity! They look amazing! I'd have a tough time painting over something I slaved over (you should have seen me weep painting over WD's childhood mural.) Nice autumnal touches! Thanks for sharing.

P.S. if the crazy diamond paint bug bit you before blogging, feel free to link this up to my Before Blogging Throwback Thursdays party.

  3. I would weep... That's why I stenciled in crayon first... Ha! It's still there... (I have no pictures of it up yet, but it is funny...) It's funny how something that we think is gonna take a few hours morphs into days!!

Yur fall bling is purty! I don't even have a pumpkin yet! My poor boys...

  4. I seriously almost spit my reduced fat wheat thins outta my big ol' mouth when I read that they are HAND painted. There are no words ... no words, except, I'm speechless! LOL. Seriously, though, I love your bath ... am super impressed with the walls, and I love the touches of Fall in there, too. Gorgeous, Carrie!!

  5. Diamonds by hand???? OH MY GOSH that is amazing! I love your powder room. You come up with the best, most creative ideas, and it's always so fun to see!!

PS--we are in the middle of repainting and changing Jeven's bathroom right now. I can't wait until it's done. She chose mint green with black and white accents. She also chose black and white pictures of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe for the walls. I ♥ it!

  9. I can't begin to imagine the time, and measuring, and .... OMG. It looks beautiful! I really admire you for taking that on! It reminded me of when I changed the painted some of the flowers on my wallpaper so it would match better with my new kitchen decor without having to strip the paper, which probabably would've taken less time... Your candles are beautiful! I hadn't thought of doing that with candles! I'm following you now; please stop by and visit me when you can.

  11. Very pretty indeed - amazing paint job - you must be a very patient person. I really like that your tile is laid on the diagonal - probably makes the room seem bigger, doesn't it.
