I want to start off by saying I’m sorry for being absent in my blog post. I’ve been entertaining out-of-town guest during the week and now I’m attending a graduation in Upstate New York. I have twin nieces that are graduating from the same high-school that I graduated from! and to add to all the excitement it’s my 20th year high-school reunion!!!!!
I did manage to find time to create a few gift for my graduating nieces using my Cricut!
Here’s what I used to create these t-shirts
- Sure-Cuts-A-Lot
- freezer paper
- craft paint
- fabric paint medium
Black t-shirt with silver paint.

I’m still in New York but wanted to say “Hi” to everyone! {Hello Everyone!} I have a lot of projects that I have lined up to finish and many more projects floating around in my head. Ha ha
Love,
Carrie

I love the candles and glasses!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the grads! How lucky to be home at the same time as your 20 yr. reunion. I just wanted to bug you about the glasses: did you use vinyl? How does the vinyl wear? I wanted to personalize some stuff as a gift but wasn't sure how long the vinyl would last & wanted to know should I paint it instead. Thanks & I'm finally in Columbia woohoo lol
ReplyDeleteThanks. I love your comments. This was my first attempt at putting vinyl on a drinking glass. A few rules to follow that I have found in my research: 1. Use outdoor vinyl 2. Allow to glue to "cure" for a few days 3. Hand wash or top rack dishwasher. I also kept some space between the top of the glass and the vinyl as I wasn't sure if the moisture of the lip would effect the vinyl.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me more about the shirts and how you did them or point me in the direction of the information. Thanks-love them both!!
ReplyDeleteThose are darling gifts....they will love them! Great job, Carrie!
ReplyDeleteI know I've said this before, but you are so talented! =)

You do such a fantastic job at making "handmade" gifts look 100% boutique and classy! I love all of those grad gifts!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips I'll look for outdoor vinyl while I'm here in the states.
